Swipe Timer is probably the easiest to use timer app:

1. Swipe to set number of minutes.

Thats it. No start or stop buttons. Countdown starts when you have set the time and lift your finger. You can change time whenever you like. Just swipe. The perfect kitchen timer or for most other countdown duties. It works on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
